Math Club 13 6b

The Math Club (more officially, the Roanoke College Student Chapter of the Mathematical Association of America) meets every other week to fellowship and enjoy mathematics. There are various events to plan: this spring, we have student research talks, Pi Day events – the popular pieing of professors and the Piathlon competition – piling up, club tee shirts to sell, students to recruit through events such as Math Science Exploration Day, and various social events. Math Club meetings typically end with a game and discussion of the mathematics of the game. The above picture shows some of the Math Club members learning to play Farkle, a dice game with strategy. Join the group every-other Tuesday at noon in Trexler 271!
